Imperial Lighting makes this blue hessian coolie lampshade by hand in Devon using traditional lampshade-making methods. We use woven hessian fabric, also known as jute or burlap, to create a classic coolie shape with a clean and balanced finish. As a result, this lightshade adds colour and natural texture without feeling heavy or overpowering in the space.
The woven jute fabric softens the light as it passes through the shade. Therefore, it creates a warm and comfortable glow that works well for everyday lighting. At the same time, the blue colour adds a calm and relaxed feel, helping the lampshade stand out while still feeling balanced.
