Imperial Lighting makes this yellow hessian coolie lampshade by hand in Devon using traditional lampshade-making methods. We use woven hessian fabric, also known as jute or burlap, to create a classic coolie shape with a clean and balanced finish. As a result, this lightshade adds texture and definition without feeling heavy or overpowering in the space.
The woven jute fabric softens the light as it passes through the shade. Therefore, it creates a warm and comfortable glow that works well for everyday lighting. At the same time, the yellow colour adds warmth and brightness, helping the lampshade stand out while still feeling controlled.
